Broad Acre Crop Sales Representative – IA, WI, IL, MO

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Within the Lallemand Plant Care North American Sales Team, the Broad Acre Crop Sales Representative will report to the Sales Manager - USA. Your job responsibility will focus on building and supporting our soybean inoculant and row crop biological business with concentrated efforts through distributor partners across this geography. The focus will be the Iowa geography and the surrounding states.

You will be responsible for sourcing new prospects, negotiating with customers, and closing sales deals. Standard deliverables include meeting sales quotas, positive customer relations, and increasing company revenue.

You will also serve as our technical ambassador; helping to train our customers in the proper use of our products, troubleshooting challenges when required, and representing our company at relevant trade shows and meetings.

Technical skills

Required

• Degree or diploma in agriculture or related field
• 5+ years of business development experience in the seed or crop protection market. Biological agricultural inputs industry preferred
• Experience in selling, presenting, and negotiating
• Sound knowledge of the Area’s (IA, WI, IL, MO) row crop protection market
• Field agronomy experience in row crops, preferably crops of significance across the geography
• Understanding of current agronomic practices & constraints
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English

An asset

• Spanish and/or Portuguese

General criteria

Required

• Having a valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel extensively across the geography for business development and customer support. Some additional travel across the geography for business and other regions of the USA and Canada may occur occasionally for training and meetings
