Cognos Planning Analytics (TM1) Developer and Administrator

Main Functions

In collaboration with the multiple teams throughout the company, the TM1 Developer and Administrator will participate in the definition, development, and implementation of business solutions, to help the company evolve towards innovative decision support solutions. In this role you must have an excellent ability to understand and translate business needs into effective solutions, both at the business and technical levels.

Key Objectives:

  • Work within a team to deliver solutions that is adding value to the business.
  • Participate actively in the overall project cycle, which consist of: requirements capturing, modeling & design, development, testing, deployment, integration, and documentation.
  • Design and development of cubes, dimensions, hierarchies using MDX functions.
  • Work with multi-Functional teams to develop solutions that enhances performance and automate manual tasks.
  • Maintain a scalable and up to date environment that will support current and future business growth.
  • Evaluate and fine tune the overall performance of TM1/PA Applications to meet business needs and avoid downtime.
  • Help plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
  • Design and maintain technical documentation, including the platform roadmap.
  • Be an active participant in the areas of mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Technical skills

An asset

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong knowledge in designing TM1 security and user access management.
  • Strong Knowledge in writing TM1 TI Scripts/Processes.
  • Development experience in PAW/PAX dashboards and reports.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, multidimensional data, functional databases, SQL.
  • Highly proficient in reading and writing advanced SQL queries and experience with at least one programming language such as Java, C++, and Python.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and implementing business solutions and processes.
  • Experience with continuous integration/deployment environments.
  • Relevant finance and manufacturing experience exhibiting knowledge of financial planning functions and related processes.

  • Bilingual English and French an asset.
