International Import-Export assistant

Main Functions

  • Report to Director of Customer Service:
  • Help and provide guideline to different Business Unit in regards of International Customs rules for Import-Export.
  • Related to specific rules as: FSVP, FDA, APHIS, NOP etc
  • Documentations required for Import-Export.
  • Verification of Origin., CUSMA, CETA and others Free Trade
  • Build guideline toll if needed
  • Manage users access for Lallemand Inc, which include few BU:


  • Prepare and review Free Trade like CUSMA for Lallemand Inc and some others BU in North America. Including the annual review.
  • Answer to our Customs Brokers on different topic.
  • Follow up the global agreement Halal certification: Certificates and invoicing.

Technical skills


  • 2 years experience in logistic and or import/export
  • Ability to deal with international businesses and good understanding of international business norms and document.

An asset

  • Knowledge of food industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the supply chain and different kind of transportations is a plus

Personal abilities


  • Excellente base on Excel and Microsoft suite, Internet
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, French is a plus
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges.

General criteria


  • Ability to work in a time constrained environment.
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, resourceful, organized, and proactive.

An asset

  • Basic base on accounting is a plus
