Technical Sales Support Representative

Main Functions

You will join the Sales & Marketing team who is responsible for developing Lallemand Plant Care's business in the Scandinavian & Baltics territories.

Reporting to the Commercial Director – Scandinavia & Baltics, you will perform commercial field testing and support sales and marketing of Lallemand Plant Care’s biofungicides and biostimulants product lines for horticulture and agriculture in the territory.

With many new and innovative product launches planned over the next several years; this will truly be an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a technical sales professional!

Tasks associated with this position also include, but may not be limited to:

Technical sales activities

  • Support & train distributor’s sales and technical teams
  • Provide agronomic support to set up, implement and monitor demonstration trials
  • Adapt product technical positioning to territory
  • Serve as our technical ambassador: help to train our customers in the proper use of our products, troubleshoot challenges when required
  • Develop network of “influencer” growers

 Marketing activities

  • Initiate and manage marketing initiatives in the territory
  • Develop local marketing material such as presentations, brochures, newsletters, and Facebook posts
  • Arrange relevant trade shows and meetings and represent our company in these events

Technical skills

Required

  • Bachelor or master's degree in Agricultural Science (e.g., Crop production science, plant pathology, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Horticulture or Agriculture or related field
  • Technical competencies in crop production and plant protection and ability to apply that knowledge in a commercial context
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Strong agricultural/horticultural and technical background
  • Experience in plant production and/or pest management practices
  • Interest in developing knowledge in biological crop protection
  • Ability to present and communicate technical information
  • Good knowledge in IT-tools (including Office 365) and relevant digital communication tools

An asset

  • Experience in technical sales or providing services to customers
  • Knowledge in Swedish

Required

  • Travelling (approx. 10-20 % annually) and sporadically flexible working hours required specifically during the growing season
  • Ability to do farm visits and trial observations in open field and greenhouse conditions
