Business Analyst - North America

Main Functions

The main mission of the Business Analyst @ Lallemand Plant Care, North America is to develop and systematize robust sales dashboards to support strategy & empower sales teams.
The job is ideally based in Canada or the US - yet qualified applications from Brazil will also be considered.
Responsibilities include:

1- MONITOR THE BUSINESS (60%)

  • Prepare monthly sales reports incl. gap analysis. Weekly reports in high season (esp. Oct-Feb). Follow both top line and bottom line.
  • Reports are primarily sell-in but will need to be progressively linked to sell-through data coming from the distributors.
  • Develop solid tracking of returns and rebates, to optimize profitability.
  • Generate P&L scenarios for budget and 5 year-plan purposes.
  • Prepare Business Cases: new product launches & campaign ROI tracking.
  • Help in establishing weekly stock reports and monthly forecasts, together with Mkg, Supply Chain and Sales Directors.

2- CONTRIBUTE TO A DYNAMIC CUSTOMER DATA PLATFORM (25%)

  • Integrate sales reports & sell-through data into the CDP; future steps of the CDP will include link to stock levels and forecasts.
  • Develop an implementation strategy of the CDP + assist in training Sales Teams in using the tool.
  • Account management and maintenance within our ERP & CDP systems.
  • Create a process enabling easy & seamless new/additional contact entries from various sources.

3- TRACK COMPETITION & DEVELOP MARKET ANALYSIS (15%)

  • Competitive pricing tracking and benchmarking to establish solid product offer recommendations.
  • Help generate market guidance and focus by analyzing public (USDA) or private market research data.
