Sales and Marketing Assistant

Main Functions

Role Purpose: The Sales and Marketing Assistant will support the LAN marketing and sales team in delivering excellent and timely results for both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Core role:

  • Adapt and create graphics for events, leaflets, adverts using InDesign.
  • Keep CDP system updated, create regular marketing emails & measure effectiveness.
  • Support marketing team with digital marketing: social media posts and webpage creation.
  • Support marketing team with campaign administration and evaluation: managing Teams Planner to reflect campaign and marketing plans and ensure deadlines are routinely met; collating key metrics to measure and review campaign effectiveness; recording work done for distributor customers, etc.

When needed:

  • Support the delivery of regional sales events: includes sales team liaison, packaging of display & promo items and literature, booking system, booking accommodation, booking & liaison with external event managers.
  • Manage promo items & clothing stocks, budget and re-ordering; ordering and despatch of items to sales team for ad hoc requests, raising POs etc.
  • Support technical team: manage silage and slurry analysis packs, despatch product samples.

Technical skills

Required

  • 2-5 years‘ experience in marketing/digital marketing roles
  • Marketing qualification preferred but CIM training would be supported
  • Digital design skills, with InDesign experience in creating simple graphics e.g. for event banners & pull-ups, brochures and flyers (Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator experience also useful)
  • Experience in using web CMS and evaluating performance in GA4
  • Experience in creating, posting and measuring social media posts
  • Experience in using CRM systems and creating marketing emails/direct mails
  • Experience of using marketing scheduling tools such as MS Planner, Trello etc.
  • Experience in campaign evaluation

An asset

  • Current valid drivers licence

Other

  • Familiarity with farming/the agricultural world would be useful
