Dakota Yeast LLC is located in Wahpeton, ND, United States and is part of the Food Manufacturing Industry. Dakota Yeast LLC produces cream yeast for the baking industry.

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician, motivated and ready to take on a new opportunity. The employee will be responsible for:

  • Controls the quality of raw materials, production and finished products according to established methods and standards.
  • Conducts physical, chemical and microbiological analyses on batches of products being processed according to an established inspection plan.
  • Issues hold documents on finished product lots tested out of specification according to specific internal standards.
  • Issues Certificate of Analysis for release
  • Participates in Proficiency Testing protocols
  • Communicates test results to production department and requests corrective action if necessary.
  • Enters daily results in Quality Control Database
  • Performs specific analyses on yeast from other Lallemand plants at the request of the manager.
  • Performs specific analyses on complaints at the request of the manager.
  • Checks the laboratory equipment on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Ensures the availability of the material required for the proper functioning of the laboratory.
  • Maintains the order and cleanliness of the laboratory

Technical skills

  • Bachelor's degree
  • previous experience in a laboratory - preferably in a food manufacturing environment
