Quality Assurance Specialist

Main Functions

Reporting to the Quality Assurance, Director, the Quality Assurance, Specialist will participate in the management of quality systems as well as improvement activities related to quality assurance.

  • Participate in the implementation, improvement and management of the quality system;
  • Participate in the review and approval of production files;
  • Participate in the issuance and review of master production files;
  • Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other technical documents related to quality assurance;
  • Review and approve SOPs and work instructions;
  • Participate in the management of deviations, change controls, non-conformities and anomalies;
  • Review and approve minor deviations;
  • Participate in the management of documentation and / or requests from customers;
  • Prepare and carry out training with different sectors of the company;
  • Participate in the various audits (routine inspections, internal audits, qualification of suppliers, etc.);
  • Participate in the management of complaints;
  • Review and approve validation protocols;
  • Ensure compliance with C-TPAT, BPF policies, internal procedures and health and safety regulations;
  • Collaborate with different sectors (production, maintenance, planning and others);
  • Participate in all other related tasks.

Technical skills

Required

  • Possess three (3) years of experience in quality assurance or quality control in the pharmaceutical industry or natural health products
  • Hold a college diploma in science

Personal abilities

Required

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Teamwork oriented, possess a good sense of organization and management of priorities
  • Demonstrate judgment and be rigorous
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in French and English
