Bakery Application Specialist

Main Functions

Your role as Bakery Application Specialist within the Best Bake team is to develop customized solutions for bakery customers with an emphasis on enzymes, yeast and bacteria. In order to do this, the role includes the following:

  • Develop and perform bakery application tests of functional ingredients like enzymes, starter cultures, yeast and it’s derivates.
  • Define, evaluate and score the quality attributes in the final product.
  • Analyse recipes and process circumstances at industrial bakeries.
  • Use this knowledge in combination with the requirements of the customer to develop a tailor made solution and recognize the cause of to solve problems.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting at bakeries based on request.

Technical skills


  • Able to develop the best solutions for our customers through your initiative and technological expertise
  • Hands on experience applying/implementing new ingredient systems on an industrial line.
  • Experience in analytical baking for R&D and Innovation.
  • Experience in the development of functional ingredient systems/concepts based on enzyme technology in bakery applications.

  • Enjoy traveling and enjoy engaging in other cultures.
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic.

An asset

  • Additional knowledge of the German language is preferable.

General criteria


  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of your time (mostly Western Europe).
