Main Functions

  • Managing the dryer operation;
  • Bagging finished product;
  • Collecting product samples for the lab;
  • Managing the upstream liquid operations;
  • Monitoring CCPs, CPs, and filters for operations;
  • Completing sanitation assignments;
  • Preparing and verifying packaging and labels;
  • Doing quality control analysis on in-process samples;
  • Inputting data into several production, quality, and sanitation logs;
  • Shipping and Receiving duties;
  • Working in a manner that conforms to Environmental, Health and Safety policies;
  • Maintain quality and food safety for area of responsibility and according to food safety and quality policies and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical skills


  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
  • Knowledge of basic physico-chemical analysis
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Understanding the principles of liquid processing
  • Understanding the principles of a spray-dryer
  • Knowledge of GMPs, and HACCP
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting, with the use of root cause analysis
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of production experience in food manufacturing

Personal abilities


  • Ability to work standing for long periods and to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Effective communication and team oriented
  • Proficient with multi-tasking and attention to detail
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions

General criteria


  • Ability to work rotating 12 hour shifts
  • Maintain first aid certification
  • Ability to achieve high sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate lift truck
