Customer service and logistic coordinator LSC

Main Functions

Reporting to the VP, Planning and Purchasing - LSS, the LSC (Lallemand Spécialités Cultures) customer service and logistics coordinator will coordinate the shipments of goods with the various transport brokers and will ensure product customs compliance. He will be careful to meet the needs of the clientele efficiently and with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

  • Control, record and confirm North American and international orders;
  • Issue inter-company purchase orders for the replenishment of stocks;
  • Collaborate and monitor the progress with customer services for these orders, prepare follow-up reports for salespeople;
  • Follow specific requests (prepayment, quarantine, etc.);
  • Coordinate the preparation of orders;
  • Follow up on orders to prepare with the shipping sector;
  • Organize and prepare shipping documents, certificates of origin and shipping slips in accordance with Canadian, American and international customs regulations, laws and formalities in collaboration with the customs broker;
  • Coordinate the transport (air, sea and road) of merchandise from and / or to customers and suppliers and make the necessary follow-ups;
  • Send the original documents;
  • Ensure delivery, retrieve proof of delivery and update the order software;
  • Proceed to invoicing;
  • Optimize internal processes and procedures;
  • Update customer files;
  • Assist sales representatives on forecasts and specific customer requests;
  • Participate in inventories of finished products;
  • Monitor performance indicators;
  • Ensure compliance with C-TPAT, BPF policies, internal procedures and health and safety regulations;
  • Maintain a document filing system;
  • Collaborate with the various internal departments of the company;
  • Participate in various special mandates.



Technical skills

Required

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or food sector is an asset; just like knowledge of American F.D.A .
  • Hold a DEC or AEC in transport logistics techniques or in another related field;
  • At least five (5) years of experience in transport logistics;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, in French as in English, exchanges and good listening skills, to enable effective teamwork;
