Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

Main Functions

Reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance, the Senior Specialist, Quality Assurance will participate in the management of quality systems as well as improvement activities related to quality assurance.

 

  • Participate in the implementation, improvement and management of the quality system;
  • Participate in special projects contributing to the improvement of systems and processes;
  • Participate in the management of deviations, change controls, non-conformities and anomalies;
  • Review and approve minor and major deviations as well as change controls when required;
  • Collaborate with departments to find viable solutions to corrective and preventive measures. Collaborate as an operations support,
  • Participate in the CAPA committee when required;
  • Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other technical documents related to quality assurance;
  • Review and approve SOPs and work instructions;
  • Participate in the various audits (routine inspections, internal audits, qualification of suppliers, external audits, customer audits, regulatory audits, etc.);
  • Participate in the management of complaints;
  • Prepare and carry out training presentations to the various sectors of the company;
  • Review and approve validation protocols;
  • Participate in the review and approval of master production files and production files;
  • Participate in the preparation of technical agreements
  • Review and approve specification sheets and analysis forms;
  • Interact with LHS factories as well as with customers and regulatory authorities when required;
  • Participate in the renewal of the operating license (or any other certification);
  • Ensure compliance with C-TPAT, BPF policies, internal procedures and health and safety regulations;
  • Participate in all other related tasks.

Technical skills

Required

  • Hold a college diploma in science
  • Possess five (5) years of experience in a similar position in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry

Personal abilities

Required

  • Demonstrate judgment and be rigorous
  • Writing skills and excellent oral and written communication skills, in both French and English
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Teamwork oriented, possess a good sense of organization and management of priorities
