Packaging Operator
Main functions
Minnesota Specialty Yeast is currently seeking a full-time, hardworking, self-motivated Packaging Operator position with full union benefit package (medical, dental, vision, paid time off). This position is a 12 hour (6am-6pm; 6pm-6am) rotating shift schedule that includes days, overnights, weekends and some holidays. The position involves handling 50-50# bags as they are guided along a conveyor filling, weighing and heat sealing each bag and finally stacking the bags on a pallet up to 6ft. high. If you are interested in this position, you must be able to pass a fit for duty examination.

Required- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
General criteria
Required- Ability to pass a fit for duty examination;
- Repeatedly lift and move up to 55 lb. bags and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs;
- Capable to stack pallets up to 6ft. without assistance;
- Obtain a forklift license (will train) as well as a Steam Boiler license.
