Quality Technician
Main functions
MSY is currently seeking a full-time, hardworking, self-motivated, detailed orientated Quality Technician position with a full benefit package (medical, dental, vision, paid time off).
The Quality Technician daily responsible tasks would be assisting in analytical & microbiological testing of incoming ingredients, samples and finished goods. This position would also assist the Quality Manager in special projects as required.
Main Tasks:
– Implement new testing procedures and incorporate these into daily routines;
– Coordinate on line quality checks with the Production Manager & Supervisor;
– Provide technical support to production on analytical equipment used in testing such as pH meters, probes and GC;
– Preparation and execution of inoculation process;
– Reviews test results and makes recommendations for acceptance or rejection of material and finished goods;
– Issues Certificates of Analysis on finished products;
– Coordinates sensory analysis on all finished products;
– Completes required reports and documentation in support of manufacturing operations.
Technical skills
Required- Associates degree in Microbiology, food science or related field (will accept years of experience in lieu of a degree);
- Word processing and other basic computer skills;
- Food manufacturing experience.
Asset- Knowledge in HACCP, GMP's and GLP's.
Personal skills
Required- Ability to lift/carry 50#;
- Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills;
- Comprehensive verbal and written skills.
