Technical and sales support agronomist
Main functions
Reporting to the Lallemand Plant Care, North American Specialty Crops Commercial Director, you will have the opportunity to grow the specialty agriculture portfolio in North America through technical support to our customers, their technical teams and growers using our products.
Tasks associated with this position include, but not be limited to:
- Assist our commercial team and provide technical support to our customers and distributors in North America;
- Assist in the development of our existing product;
- Contribute to the marketing and commercialization strategy of our product portfolio;
- Serve as a technical ambassador;
- Help train our Lallemand teams in the proper use of our products;
- Trouble-shoot with our distributors and end-users when required;
- Help represent our company at relevant trade shows and meetings;
- Drive demand by offering technical support throughout the supply chain, including on-farm.
Technical skills
Required- BSc or MSc in Agronomical Sciences (or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in the biological agricultural inputs industry preferred;
- Experience in developing technical marketing and sales support materials for a broad range of audiences;
- Field agronomy experience in specialty crops, preferably crops of significance in PNW and/or California;
- Understanding of current agronomic practices & constraints;
- Sound knowledge surrounding use of biologicals in crop production;
- Field trial management experience (commercial and regulatory);
- Excellent customer service orientation, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
