Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Specialist, North America

Main Functions

The Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Specialist, North America, will report to the Global Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Coordinator and work closely with a team of 12 people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Renewing and maintaining product marketing authorizations, including product registration and import permits.
  • Liaising with competent authorities, external regulatory bodies, or trade associations to ensure compliance with all necessary regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to verify the compliance of marketing advertisements, materials and product labels.
  • Writing, sourcing, compiling, and obtaining necessary documentation for registration and submissions covering a wide range of microbial solutions for animal feed, silage inoculants, and environmental applications.
  • Ensuring maintenance of internal procedures, tracking regulatory requirements and guidelines, and updating internal registration primarily for the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Collaborating with R&D and quality colleagues to maintain all statutory requirements for registration purposes.
  • Working closely with country sales managers and the global regulatory affairs team.
  • Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with industry leaders and various government agencies to assess and influence the direction of the industry.

Technical skills

Required

  • BSc degree in Animal Science, Life Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, or a related discipline.

An asset

  • 2-5 years of prior regulatory affairs experience (mid-level).
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of North American Feed regulations/guidelines.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and SharePoint.
