B2B Technical Sales Manager Italy

Main Functions

In order to support the Animal Nutrition  business unit’s development in Italy, Lallemand is seeking a B2B Technical Sales Representative for Feed additives for Ruminants and Swine.  

Part of the sales team and reporting LAN Italy Country Manager, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop sales of Lallemand’s range of microbial solutions to industrial customers in Italy;
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products, our customers needs and buying decisions;
  • Provide customer support and keep up to date on trends in the markets, including competitive ingredients, formulation trends and consumer needs;
  • Accurately forecast and budget sales;
  • Cooperate closely with the global marketing team to produce material suited to the Italian market.

Technical skills

Required

  • University Degree in Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine or Agriculture
  • Good knowledge of animal nutrition, in particular ruminants
  • Previous experience selling value added solutions to the feed industry
  • Deep knowledge of the Italian Ruminant and Swine industry
  • Italian mother tongue. Good knowledge of English

An asset

  • Previous experience working as a nutritionist

Personal abilities

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to execute and complete projects
  • Sales oriented, with high-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Autonomous and prone to team work

General criteria

Required

  • Based in Northern Italy
  • Travels: 70% of the time, localy (Italy) . A few international trips for trainings and meetings may be held during the year.
