Risk and Real Estate Analyst

Main Functions

Global risk management is a support function that helps business units and relevant corporate functions to manage and mitigate their business risks in specifically defined areas, and that strives to establish the most efficient risk management structure with the objective to minimize the total cost of risk for the Lallemand group. Sustainability and real estate are also areas that are being gradually integrated into the function. Reporting to the Vice President - Risk Management, we are looking to strengthen our team with the newly created position of Risk and Real Estate Analyst.

Tasks associated with this position also include, but may not be limited to:

Active participation in the management of corporate insurance by:

  • Updating insurance values
  • Participating in corporate insurance renewals
  • Following-up on insurers' recommendations for plants, with proof of achievement
  • Developing risk analyses for plants not visited by insurers
  • Performing ad’ hoc risk analyses

Active participation in corporate real estate management by:

  • Setting up and maintaining a corporate real estate database
  • Helping the business units with negotiations of lease renewals
  • Establishing and maintaining a close relationship with local real estate brokers for real estate transactions
  • Maintaining a close relationship with the real estate management company consulting Lallemand on real estate matters and projects and actively participate in these projects

Technical skills

Required

  • University Degree in Administration or Engineering
  • Experience working as a hands-on internal auditor, ideally for a private company
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI) and data modeling tools
  • English, spoken and written; English and French bilingual is of an asset
