Project Coordinator

Main Functions

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Project Coordinator will play an integral role in supporting the Director and the management team within the Business Applications team in delivering quality outputs for Lallemand Business. This is a new and dynamic position that requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Applications, the project coordinator will also spearhead departmental initiatives using available software and existing processes, to enhance efficiencies and foster collaboration across departments.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES:

Project Planning and monitoring:

  • Assist managers in the creation of detailed project plans and schedules for approved projects
  • Monitor and report on the progress of tasks to ensure timely completion and identify any potential delays
  • Raise and address risks or issues related to task advancement and project milestones

System Enhancements Backlog Support:

  • Support the Business Applications Director in prioritizing system enhancements backlog to align with business objectives
  • Assign tasks to identified team members upon prioritization with managers and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery
  • Provide regular updates and reports on backlog items and their statuses
  • Facilitate the communication with requestors when required

Tools, documentation and procedures:

  • Design, implement and support adapted departmental procedures, such as development testing framework, capacity management, project planning and reporting
  • Identify new process opportunities, assess the feasibility, benefits and costs, request the approval from leadership and lead the implementation
  • Monitor compliance with established procedures within the team
  • Create and maintain the department documentation library
  • Generate and analyze that project and system enhancements reports and metrics

Expense tool (Concur) support:

  • Tool configuration: company specific, company bank information, local Mileage rates, travel allowances
  • User training and support
  • Manage global business rules
  • Maintain Data Quality
  • Collaborate with Key partners in each Business Unit for new deployments

Technical skills

Required

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in using project management tools such as Planner, DevOps, or similar software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role within an IT environment
  • Fluent in English, French is an asset
