REGIONAL PROCUREMENT CATEGORY MANAGER (EMEA)

Main Functions

We are seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of collaboration, a passion for Procurement and a keen eye for detail to create value throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for category development and implementation across the Business Units Bio-Ingredients and EMEA Baking of Lallemand. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure consistency across all spend activities.

The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for managing procurement activities, and supplier relationship management processes within the procurement categories. The role supports the Strategic Procurement Director in achieving cost efficiency, ensuring quality and food safety, driving sustainability journey with our suppliers, and enhancing supply chain resilience across the spend categories. The ideal candidate will have a strategic and value-driven approach, a strong focus on supplier quality, compliance and sustainability, and the ability to adapt to the unique demands of the food market.

The Procurement Category Manager will be part of Lallemand Bio-Ingredients Supply Chain-Procurement Organisation and report directly to the Strategic Procurement Director.

The workplace is at our new location Baronessens Kvarter 6R, 7000 Fredericia, DK and can be combined with Home-Office.

Technical skills

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement in the food industry world. Experience with crop-related products and chemicals is a strong plus.
  • Proven proficiency in category management, supplier management, data analytics tools and ERP systems (MS Dynamics).
  • Value-creation oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and risk mitigation plan.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
