Product Manager - LALNIX

Main Functions

As a Product manager, you will play a key role in guiding product development from inception to sale. This role involves being the primary interface between cross-functional teams, including R&D/Quality Assurance/Production, Technical Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain/Customer Services, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all aspects of the product portfolio. We need our Product Manager to simply be obsessed with our products – nothing less!

Ideally based in Latin America, you will report to the Vice President Product Management, and you will coordinate the life cycle of the LALNIX product line, the preparation and maintenance of the documents intrinsic to the product and the introduction of the products on the market. More precisely, your main missions will be, but are not limited to:

Product management

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap:
    • Determine the priorities for the portfolio;
    • Determine the evolution of the portfolio (improvement of existing products, follow-up of complaints, etc...).
  • Manage, build and maintain product stories and IDs for the product portfolio;
  • Ensure that all elements linked with the portfolio SKU’s are in place prior to the launch/sales (product labels, master files, packaging, recipe, codes, etc.);
  • Determine and communicate the potential positionings of the products (claim, crop, pricing guidelines);
  • Recommend the most adapted positionings for each market/geography;
  • Participate in innovation programs related to product portfolio;
  • Participate in planning, production, and Quality-related decisions (local sales strategy, distribution, pricing);
  • Participate in defining and following-up of regulatory actions.

Guidance and training

  • Provide internal and B2B training and technical support for the products;
  • Participate in field trial design with the Agronomy Director and Field Solutions teams.

Technical skills

Required

  • MSc, PhD or equivalent in agronomy or microbiology
  • Agriculture & Microbiology knowledge
  • Knowledge of microbial products production and customer service constraints
  • Knowledge of PPP, bio-fungicide, bio-insecticides and post-harvest treatments market and environment (Regulatory, KIP, etc.)
  • Understanding of the products or services the business sells and the Lallemand’s industry
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and complete projects in collaboration with teams that span the functions of LPC
  • Financial and analytical skills to follow a budget, analyze product profitability and interpret sales statistics and marketing data
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English

General criteria

Required

  • Be available to travel up to 30% (mainly South America, North America, and EMEA, but also worldwide)
  • Be comfortable travelling extensively and going on farm/field visits
