Technical Services Manager - Midwest US

Main Functions

This position will be responsible for providing technical service to the Fuel Ethanol industry focusing on fermentation management in all aspects. This will be done by way of supporting, servicing, troubleshooting and training our existing and potential customer base. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing and directing new business in the region, supporting Regional Sales Managers and participating in industry events as required. This position will report directly to the Director of Technical Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and access current and new fermentation technologies including analysis, recommendations and feedback as required. 
  • Build and share technical reports analyzing various plant conditions and convey findings to team and customers
  • Work with Regional Sales Managers as appropratie to develop and grwoth market share
  • Participate in Fuel Ethanol indistry events and represent the company's views and vision
  • Safely and efficiently work on customer premises

 

Technical skills

Required

  • Extensive knowledge of, and hands-on experience in, the dry grind ethanol industry (batch or continuous)
  • Exceptional written/oral communication and public speaking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other data management formats

An asset

  • Previous experience with SAS JMP software preferred
  • Previous experience with enzymes in fermentation is a plus

Personal abilities

Required

  • Must be able to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Effectively converse in technical matters and solutions when dealing with real time process related issues
  • Successful candidate will be expected to complete all levels of required safety training
  • Candidate must be of high character, personable, professional, and familiar with the Fuel Ethanol Industry

An asset

  • Sales skills are a plus

General criteria

Required

  • Willing to travel at least 40-50% of the time within your geographically assigned territory
  • Must be able to conduct educational presentations across the industry
  • Possible relocation needed (package will be included)
