Regional Accounts Representative - KY, MD, NC, OH, SC, TN, VA, WV

Main Functions

Purpose: 

The Regional Account Representative is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within their designated territory by identifying key accounts, developing tailored sales strategies, and building strong customer relationships. This role focuses on converting opportunities into loyal partnerships and supporting business growth through strategic account management and targeted initiatives. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Identify Target Accounts: Research and identify high-value accounts that align with the company’s strategic goals within the yeast and baking ingredients market.  
  • Sales Strategies: Create and execute personalized sales strategies tailored to the needs and pain points of target accounts in the baking industry.  
  • Engage Prospects: Reach out to key decision-makers within target accounts through various channels, including email, phone, and social media.  
  • Nurture Relationships and Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients, providing them with relevant information and support throughout the sales cycle.  
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with overall marketing goals and ensure consistent messaging.  
  • Track and Analyze Performance: Monitor the effectiveness of sales strategies, analyze data, and adjust approaches as needed to achieve desired outcomes.  
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales quotas by converting target accounts into paying customers. 
  • Follow BMS-P-08-02-A01 GMPs and applicable BMS/DC and SITES Procedures and Instructions at all times to ensure product food safety, legality, and quality. 

Technical skills

Required

  • Skilled in using Microsoft 365 applications, CRM platforms, and basic data analysis tools to manage accounts, track performance, and report results.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in the food, ingredient, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record with account management and sales targets.

An asset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field is an advantage but not required.
  • Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with the baking, yeast, ingredient, or food manufacturing industries is an asset.
  • Background in B2B sales and technical product promotion is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the baking, yeast, or fermentation industries is an advantage, but not required

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, technical support, and leadership, to align sales activities and deliver value to customers.
  • Capable of managing assigned accounts within a defined territory, including regular follow-ups, service, and account maintenance. Organizational skills to manage pipelines, appointments, and customer records efficiently.
